Own Quality processes lead and execute tactical projects improvement activities related to quality development training certification audit and implementation of quality inspections and measurements in all GE Manufacturing plants globally
Job Description
Competency Development & Resource Adequacy:
- Responsible for monitoring and improving effectiveness of certification program for respective personnel related to process quality control Firewall processes and geometrical verification in plants
- Responsible to improve the competence level of quality staff in plants as per LMWP competency model
- Audit and track the certification database to ensure only certified resources performing inspection in the plants
Measurement and Inspection Methods (Process and Geometrical verification methods):
- Own process inspection Firewall inspection and GVM inspections performed in LM manufacturing facilities. Responsible for improving the processes to next level to become lean and effective.
- Provide constructive feedback and needed inputs to engineering during Development and improvement of Inspection methods (Variable and Attribute measurements) Geometrical verification methods new technologies and new AC including MSA for new methods
- and implementation of new inspection methods and Geometrical verification methods new technologies and new AC after the completion of development from Engineering.
- Act as key representative from team establish workforce to address key concerns related to defect escapements and over processing
- Drive improvements in calibration processes and procedures through challenging existing methods and providing solutions
Quality Compliance
- Plan and perform process audit in plants (IPE NDT evaluations) for critical processes as per defined frequency.
- Drive improvements in the audit process to make it is lean and effective
- Follow up on audit findings closure
- Bring improvement in BMS process and tools related to process audits
Operational process and support:
- Take ownership of Visual inspection processes and methods challenge current setup and make the process lean and efficient.
- Tracking monitoring and improving performance of gauge R & R in plants.
- Training and implementation of new AC
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelors degree in engineering with minimum 5 years blade manufacturing or Diploma with more than 10 years blade manufacturing experience.
- International experience and cultural awareness covering Americas Europe India and China.
- Knowledge of blade manufacturing is preferable combined with explicit knowledge on Quality tools Systems and Processes Audits Six Sigma PFMEA Control plans PPAP.
- Strong English language skill (verbal and writing).
- Preferable to have an ISO 9001 Lead auditor certification and relevant audit experience.
- Knowledge on 6 sigma methodology and minimum Green Belt certification preferable
- Flexible travelling across GE business units for operational support
