How do we make an impact
Unity Lab Services provides a single source for coordinated lab service support and supply management. Our customized service offerings and premier service experts have the flexibility and experience to uniquely address our customers laboratorys business needs.
What will you do
Perform laboratory services that can include chemical inventory scanning chemical inventory reconciliation stockroom management receipt and registration of chemicals chemical waste pickup radioactive management tasks controlled substance management and area audits using client system.
Adhere to SOPs and work instructions for receiving chemicals conducting audits transferring chemicals onsite and identifying storage conditions.
Potential to chair committees and host meetings that pertain to customer success.
Successfully address customer concerns within established resolution timeframes.
Engage in process improvement activities and assist with resolutions to enhance process utilizations.
Crosscollaborate within ThermoFisher team and engage with highprofile client.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
How will you get here
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Associate degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills.
Experience
2 years of related experience within a laboratory setting is helpful.
GMP experience is a plus.
Experience working in customer service is also a plus.
Knowledge Skills Abilities
Able to read write and speak English fluently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and desire to deliver excellent customer service. This includes maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor in all interactions and upholding Thermo Fisher Scientifics values including confidentiality.
Possesses a strong desire to serve the customer and the communication skills to collaborate with various levels of personnel at the customer site.
Independently operates handheld scanners to enter data in various systems as needed; as well as analytical skills to reconcile reports.
Demonstrates computer proficiency and possesses intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite of software. Uses interpersonal skills to multitask and meet due dates as needed.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Works primarily at customer sites which may require independent work. Work areas may include spaces where chemicalbased allergens are in use (such as penicillin tetracycline etc).
Depending on the area of the campus personal protective equipment may be worn including lab coats safety gloves safety shoes and/or safety glasses.
Ability to lift push and pull 3040 pounds regularly; may occasionally lift 50 pounds using equipment like pushcarts and pallet jacks.
Regularly required to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
Ability to work overtime as needed.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $25.11$33.48.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
