Public Health Seattle & King County Community Health Services (CHS) Division has an exciting opportunity for a people leader in the role of Community Health Services Supervisor (CHSS) in Parent and Child Health. This position is located at North Meridian Public Health Center. We are interested in individuals who are representative of the diverse population we serve and are dedicated to serving clients with quality and compassion. The purpose of CHS is to strengthen King Countys safety net services and partnerships to deliver equitable and responsive health care for marginalized communities. CHS provides direct services through its Public Health Center system as well as assures access to quality services through partnerships and regional programs.

This Community Health Services Supervisor (CHSS) will provide oversight and support to multidisciplinary teams within the First Steps and WIC programs. The team is comprised of Registered Nurses Registered Dietitians Community Health Workers Nutrition Assistants Social Workers and Administrative Support staff. This position may also supervise other disciplines such as Interpreters and may expand their supervision to other sites. The CHSS will have the overall responsibility for the daily supervision of the team and be a key member of the site leadership team(s) working with Program staff other supervisors and community partners.

Temporary opportunity. TermLimited Temporary positions are atwill positions but are eligible for benefits. This TLT is currently anticipated to last through January 2026. However funding sources for this work remain uncertain and dependent upon decisions actively being made at both the federal and local levels. As a result the end date of this position may be adjusted based on those decisions. The County and the Department continue to work to secure long term funding sources.


This vacancy can also be filled as a Special Duty opportunity. For Special Duty Assignment interest you must be a Career Service Career Service Exempt or other regular (nontemporary) employee in King County who has completed their initial County probation. You must have supervisor approval prior to taking a Special Duty Assignment.

The typical work schedule for this position is inperson and onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM 5:00 PM. Depending on business needs work hours and onsite presence may be adjusted to meet Public Health Center needs.

This nonrepresented position is designated exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not overtime eligible.
