Job Description

Drive vocational excellence in Health and Social Care at our outstanding Newham school as a passionate teacher!

Our academically successful outstanding school in Newham is looking for a dedicated and resultsoriented Health and Social Care Teacher to join our vocational studies department. You will play a key role in ensuring students achieve their full potential in their BTEC qualifications and are wellprepared for future careers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver wellstructured and engaging Health and Social Care lessons at BTEC Level 2 and 3.
  • Implement effective assessment and feedback strategies to track student progress.
  • Set high expectations and support students in achieving their target grades.
  • Utilize a range of teaching techniques to cater to different learning styles.
  • Contribute to the development of resources and strategies for raising attainment in Health and Social Care.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent standards across the vocational curriculum.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Health and Social Care Nursing Social Work or a closely related field.
  • Experience teaching Health and Social Care at BTEC Level 2 and 3 (or strong potential as an ECT with a strong academic background and relevant sector knowledge).
  • A strong understanding of BTEC assessment criteria and effective teaching strategies for vocational learners.
  • Excellent communication organizational and data analysis skills.
  • A commitment to ensuring all students achieve their potential in Health and Social Care.
