What You will Be Doing
As a Senior Manager in Governance and Control you will report to the Director Finance Governance and Controls and be involved in various initiatives within Finance to ensure there is an appropriate Governance structure in place. You will act as the primary contact for the business and perform risk assessments process enhancements identification design and implementation of controls. You will ensure ongoing control effectiveness through performing review and testing to determine design and operating effectiveness of the control environment. You will work with stakeholders across Finance and Treasury Risk Management Internal Audit and other lines of business and oversee a team of managers and business consultants to ensure high quality and timeliness of work allocated to them.

How Youll Succeed
- Risk Assessment Activities Participate in initiatives related to risk assessments identification and designing new controls. Ensure comprehensive and independent assessment of risks across multiple business units and assess the impact on the bank. Support the Director in achieving project targets with high quality deliverables within timelines.
- Control Activities Review and/or test controls develop work plans identify raise and record deficient and ineffective controls and monitor the timely implementation of remediation plans. Review new business initiatives from a control perspective.
- Operational Risk Management Conduct ongoing risk assessments and identify mitigating controls analyze operational risk incidents create and monitor appropriate Key Risk Indicators.
- Relationship Management Primary relationship manager with key stakeholders across the organization including: Internal Audit Risk Management Compliance external auditors and the Business.
- Governance and Advisory Activities Assist Director in Business Management responsibilities across finance. Provide advice and consultation over new business initiatives new advisory services process enhancement and automation.
- Guidance to Managers Provide guidance to managers and provide resolutions to issues faced by the team during control testing and other governance related activities.
