Thepositioninvolves offeringwritinginstruction to 6 sections of FFYS in each semester (fall and spring).WritingInstructors are expected to work approximately 45 hours/week per section assigned. Responsibilities include leadingregular workshops for students at different stages of thewritingprocess offering feedback on drafts and holding oneonone conferences and/or office hours to discusswritingwith them. You will be part of a team of fulltimewritinginstructors who share ideas onwritingpedagogy offer occasional events forfacultyabout FYS andwriting and advise onwritingassessment. You will also have the opportunity to participate in professional development opportunities facilitated by the Office of the Core Director. It is a great opportunity to learn more about the university and develop yourteachingskills.At this moment thispositionis for oneyear only.
Candidates must have a Mastersdegree at least one year of teaching experience. We welcome candidates from Rhetoric and Composition English and other fields.
