Kelly has also led studentexperience related scholarship projects including needs analyses to enhance existing practice or inform the design of new initiatives.
Main Duties
As part of the wider student experience enhancement plans this project will aim to develop a range of studentorientated communications explaining the various quality assurance (QA) process that take place in the school and wider university that uphold the integrity of its degrees.
These communications will predominately focus on the QA around assessments and feedback. Example topics might include: the role of internal and external examiners; where to find and how to use feedback comments; and how degree awards are calculated.
The successful interns will be required to undertake both secondary (desk based) research on whether and how other Schools within the University of Birmingham and within other universities communicate their QA processes to students and ideally collect primary data from other students on the topics they would like covered and the most effective forms of communication.
From their research the interns will then create a range of communications (videos animations student guides etc) for the School to use.
