The Counseling Department invites applications for a tenuretrack position at the Assistant Professor rank beginning August 2024. Responsibilities will include teaching an assigned load of synchronous and asynchronous graduate level courses using Blackboard Ultra LMS Microsoft Teams and other relevant instructional technologies; providing engaged advising to a group of students commensurate with other duties; maintaining consistent accessibility for advisees students faculty and colleagues; participating in department college university professional and community service; maintaining an active research agenda that includes the pursuit of external funding; providing leadership of a designated course(s) and supervision of a teaching team of instructors; supporting ongoing accreditation and continuous improvement of Counseling Department; and ensuring administrative and communication processes of the Department College and University are implemented quickly and efficiently The department also seeks candidates who will contribute to the Universitys general education curriculum and its emphasis on using highimpact teaching practices particularly those affiliated with one (or more) of the institutions pedagogical initiatives (e.g. Communitybased Learning Critical Thinking First Year Seminar Writing Across Curriculum etc.. Additionally the ideal candidate will contribute to the Colleges support of interdisciplinary programs of study.
