As the Assistant Registrar Athletic Evaluation for Student Records this position is responsible for the daytoday administrative oversight of processing of studentathlete academic records including but not limited to admissions competition eligibility compliance monitoring and progress to degree. They serve as the primary Enrollment Services contact and the campus subject matter expert on NCAA Big West Conference and other NCAA conference eligibility criteria and rules ensures compliance and reports any concerns or violations to the campus NCAA Compliance Officer in CSULB Athletics.
Furthermore the incumbent provides services that are equitable inclusive and culturally sensitive to enhance the quality of campus life. This position uses a studentcentered and equityminded approach in all communication and service efforts.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Expert knowledge of NCAA and Big West conference regulations regarding studentathlete eligibility is essential. Strong supervisory training and staff management skills along with the ability to excel under pressure while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficiency in student information systems academic advising and student records is necessary as well as excellent analytical skills for troubleshooting complex system issues. The ability to make accurate recommendations for policy and procedural improvements interpret and apply academic and administrative policies and organize multiple priorities independently is crucial. A functional understanding of database structures information systems and various software tools is needed along with the ability to quickly learn new systems and communicate effectively with campus users. Strong communication skills both verbal and written are important as is the ability to establish and maintain successful working relationships within the university community. Sound judgment ensuring data integrity treating all customers with professionalism and maintaining a safe work environment.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies procedures and guidelines including but not limited to safety civility information security and nondiscrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each student and assist in achieving the universitys commitment to a vision of excellence.
Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelors degree in applicable field and three years of professional experience in Student Athletics required (admissions and records monitoring admissions to degree conference compliance in Higher Education).

Compensation
Salary placement is determined by the education experience and qualifications the candidate brings to the position internal equity and the hiring departments fiscal resources.
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $5540 $7893 per month.

Long Beach State Athletics is committed to following NCAA Big West Conference Golden Coast Conference and Mountain Pacific Sports Federation rules and regulations. Therefore the incumbent is required to maintain a working knowledge of these rules and regulations.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSULB will make a conditional offer of employment which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
