Job Description

Cloud security is our highest priority at AWS. As an AWS customer you benefit from an environment built to meet the requirements of the most securitysensitive organizations. As an AWS Security team member you will help secure that environment for our customers while working on security initiatives for a variety of new platforms and technologies all operating at massive scale.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager with a background in breaking down problems creating strong mechanisms and delivering results.

You will be responsible for leading multiple simultaneous programs in a highly crossfunctional environment including internal customers engineering supply chain and operations teams as well as external vendors. They will have driven continuous process improvement and collaborated effectively with crossfunctional teams to solve problems and implement new solutions.

In this role youll provide leadership for global security programs that secure AWS hardware infrastructure. This is a fastpaced intellectually challenging position and youll need to be able to deal with ambiguity and solve complex problems. Youll have high standards for yourself and everyone you work with in a dynamic fastchanging organization. Using data and key metrics you will also drive and measure process improvements that enhance our operational effectiveness. Project management critical thinking and problemsolving skills will be used daily. You should be open to new challenges extremely good at multitasking innovative creative and selfdirected.

A strong background in enterprise or data center infrastructure is desirable for your success in this technical position. You must have a proven track record of project completion that is on time and within budget. You must be able to command the intellectual respect of engineers as well as run effective projects on compressed timelines while dealing with ambiguity. This role will require up to 10 travel depending on project life cycles.





Key job responsibilities
Drive global initiatives that impact the infrastructure operations of AWS
Create programs that enable the measurement of security initiative impact
Build metrics that are used to understand infrastructure security health
Write documents with senior leadership visibility that describe program status
Partner with organizations across AWS to understand their business and how security impacts them.

5 years of technical product or program management experience
7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
3 years of software development experience
5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules

5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multimillion dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
