Job Title:

Lead Engineer Continuous Improvement

Job Description:

The Role:

We are seeking a driven and experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team in Burnet TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and executing projects aimed at improving process yield by reducing variation enhancing process control eliminating waste and optimizing processes to drive efficiency. This role requires a strong background in chemical or industrial engineering a proven track record in cost savings projects and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions.

Responsibilities:

Process Improvement & Optimization:

  • Identify and lead projects focused on reducing variation enhancing process control and eliminating waste.

  • Optimize chemical purification processes to improve yield and efficiency.

  • Develop and implement a yield monitoring program to quickly detect and address yield losses and variations.

Cost Savings & Project Management:

  • Drive cost savings initiatives by analyzing processes and implementing sustainable improvements.

  • Manage project timelines resources and budgets to ensure successful .

  • Prepare detailed project reports including costbenefit analysis and progress updates.

Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Work closely with crossfunctional teams including operations quality product management and facilities to implement process improvements.

  • Lead and mentor team members on best practices for process control and optimization.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Utilize statistical methods and SPC tools to monitor and analyze process performance.

  • Identify trends and root causes of process variation and recommend corrective actions.

  • Prepare and present findings to senior management.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of efficiency and innovation.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

  • 8 years of experience in a process engineering or lead engineering role preferably in chemical purification or related

  • Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.

  • Proven track record in cost savings projects and project management.

  • Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) and yield monitoring systems

  • Travel Requirements: 10

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent project management and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g. Minitab Excel or similar).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • Driven: Selfmotivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Collaborative: Proven ability to work effectively across multiple functions.
  • DetailOriented: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Innovative: Ability to think creatively to solve complex problems.
