Job Description:

What Youll Do

Responsible for assessing 1st line business processes and controls used to monitor and test for adherence with Federal and State regulatory requirements. The role collaborates with management to identify compliance issues and corrective action plans and communicates the scope and severity of concerns identified to the applicable level of management.

Actively manages and escalates risk and customerimpacting issues within the daytoday role to management.

How Youll Do It

• Collaborate with various level of management within the areas of responsibilities including the risk functions within the 1st Line of Defense. Evaluate and test the adequacy of business processes and practices with respect to risks controls and regulatory requirement identifying gaps and issues.

• Manage activities of Compliance Testing staff (direct/indirect) and is responsible for the overall integrity and quality of the work product.

• Create and maintain testing workpapers and supporting documentation. Draft written reports regarding compliance testing results.

• Monitor and validate status of corrective actions taken by business partners to remediate and maintain testing workpapers and supporting documentation. Draft written reports regarding compliance testing results.

• Maintain a high level of awareness and knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements. Support Compliance Management in developing implementing and maintaining an enterprisewide Compliance Program and culture of compliance.

Qualifications Youll Need
The Basics:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Management Finance Law or related field.

• 4 years of experience in Compliance Financial Services Risk BSA/AML or related field.

• In Lieu of Education 8 years of experience in Compliance Financial Services Risk BSA/AML or Related including Testing Quality Assurance or Audit.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• 6 years of experience in Testing Quality Assurance Audit or related.

• 4 years of experience:

• Models champions and reinforces a risk culture of compliance and
  transparency.
  Applies general understanding of risk identification and assessment
  processes tools and techniques to provide oversight and challenge to
  risk measurement activities.
  Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of compliance laws
  and regulations.
  Demonstrates knowledge of the Compliance Management System
  components related to:
  Policies and procedures and clear communication of intended
  procedural expectations and process.
  Governance and reporting processes that provides a mechanism
  to identify manage and escalate risks according to the
  organizations risk appetite.
  Evaluation of and/or challenges processes new/existing products
  or services regulatory changes customer communications and/or
  technologies to ensure Compliance risks are identified and mitigated.
  Identification and escalation of compliance risk management issues
  in a timely and effective manner including ability to manage
  monitor and report on issues and development of action plans.
  Risk monitoring and testing activities to determine whether
  regulatory requirements are being adhered to and/or Controls are
  operating effectively.
  Identification of regulatory risks and adequate risk mitigants as well
  as effectively challenging assessment of controls to prevent detect
  and correct errors.
  Handling of complaints evaluating business initiatives and providing
  research on potential regulatory impacts.
  Due diligence on new and existing ThirdParty engagements
  commensurate with the level of compliance risk involved in the
  services being provided.
  Comprehensive riskbased Compliance training specifically tailored
  to job roles and responsibilities.

• 4 years of experience:

• Effective communication (written and verbal) that includes core
  components of active listening persuasiveness collaboration and
  conciseness when meeting with and presenting to peers various
  levels of leadership and other lines of business.
  Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet
  shared objectives.
  Optimizes work processes with a focus on continuous improvement.

• Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager.

• Certified Internal Auditor.

• Certified AntiMoney Laundering Specialist.
