JOB SUMMARY:
Support Engineers provide technical assistance to customers remotely ensuring the smooth operation of hardware. Their ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues from a distance supports efficient customer support and satisfaction. Support Engineers play a crucial role in delivering timely and effective solutions to customers reducing downtime and maximizing system performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is an Onsite position at the Austin TX location
Performs basic to moderately complex troubleshooting of server hardware
Support endusers utilizing remote support tools
Interact with users to address technical issues responding accurately and in a timely and professional manner
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
24 years of server maintenance migrations/upgrades engineering test debug tech support or relevant
Basic to intermediate understanding of server hardware technologies
Knowledge of RAID Motherboards electronic components
Knowledge of Ticketing Systems. Service Desk ZenDesk Preferred
Detect diagnose research solutions and resolve computer software / hardware failures
Possess strong organizational and timemanagement skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Able to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to communicate clearly professionally and effectively to variety of audiences
Ability to maintain a professional and customerfocused demeanor while providing technical support to endusers
Must be teamoriented with the ability to collaborate with others to bring about a desired outcome
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A.A.S or BS Degree is preferred
IT Certifications (CompTIA ITCA ITIL) is a plus
2 4 years of relevant experience is required
Equivalent education and work experience will be highly considered
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Individual will be required to use computer keyboards or other equipment for extended periods of time.
Individuals may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision for reading and studying technical materials and use of computer monitor screens a great deal of the time.
Specific physical abilities required by the job may include walking carrying and lifting up to 25 lbs. with some occasional lifting up to 50lbs
