Job Description
Overview:
Our company is seeking an experienced Controller for a Heavy Civil Construction Company to partner closely with the Company President. With a commitment to integrity and transparency this role is vital to our ongoing success and financial health. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Civil construction accounting and equipment management.
Ideal Profile:
- Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related.
- 5 years of accounting experience construction industry strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Computer Ease software is a big plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all controllership responsibilities ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting
- Allocate equipment job costs accurately to support project budgeting and financial tracking
- Prepare and submit monthly sales tax reports in compliance with regulations
- Lead forecasting and budgeting efforts providing strategic insights to support company growth
- Handle full cycle accounting tasks including GL journal entries monthend close accounts payable accounts receivable payroll and preparation of financial statements
- Maintain relationships with CPA firm banking institutions and insurance providers.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently across all levels of the organization ensuring timely and transparent information flow
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Experience with HCSS Computer Ease and Excel
