Job Description

Reports to: Superintendent
Campus Assignment: Middle School (Lead Administrator)
Department: Administration
Days Employed: 226
Pay Grade:Administrative Pay Grade2

Primary Purpose:

The Executive Director of Administration will serve as the lead administrator for the middle school campus while also providing strategic districtwide support to principals instructional coaches and teachers. This dualrole position combines highimpact instructional leadership behavior systems support and operational oversight to build capacity across all campuses. The goal is to foster a collaborative rigorous and safe learning environment while reducing disciplinary placements and improving Tier 1 and Tier 3 instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

Campus Leadership (Middle School):

  • Serve as Principal of the Middle School campus responsible for daytoday operations supervision and instructional leadership.

  • Cultivate a positive school climate focused on academic rigor student engagement and relational behavior supports.

  • Supervise and evaluate campus staff using TTESS and TPESS aligned processes.

  • Lead campus improvement planning and ensure compliance with district and state expectations.

DistrictWide Support:

Instructional Leadership & Coaching

  • Serve as a coach and mentor for campus principals and instructional coaches focusing on effective PLC structures instructional rigor and engagement strategies.

  • Provide direct coaching and modeling for Tier 3 teachers in need of intensive support.

  • Support implementation of districtwide instructional initiatives and ensure fidelity to TEKSaligned best practices.

Behavioral Systems & MTSS

  • Act as the districts hearing officer for disciplinary placements with a focus on early intervention and restorative practices.

  • Provide districtlevel leadership in MTSS particularly at Tier 2 and Tier 3 coordinating support for students with behavioral and academic challenges.

  • Monitor campus discipline trends and help campuses develop responsive proactive plans to reduce referrals and DAEP placements.

Leadership Development & Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with the Superintendent to lead TPESS evaluations and coaching cycles for principals.

  • Serve as a liaison between district leadership and campus administrators to ensure alignment of goals and initiatives.

  • Assist with succession planning and strategic staffing models; provide input on leadership placement and development.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • Masters Degree in Educational Administration or related field (required)

  • Valid Texas Principal or MidManagement Certification

  • TTESS and TPESS Certified (preferred)

  • Superintendent Certification (preferred but not required)

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years successful campuslevel leadership experience (Principal or Assistant Principal)

  • Demonstrated success in coaching educators and improving instruction

  • Experience with MTSS student behavior systems or hearing officer responsibilities preferred

  • Experience implementing and leading PLC models

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong instructional knowledge across content areas and grade levels

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and coaching practices

  • Deep understanding of student behavior systems and multitiered interventions

  • Excellent communication collaboration and leadership skills

  • Ability to analyze data and use it to inform decisionmaking and support

Working Conditions:

  • This position will be housed at the middle school and serve as its lead administrator.

  • Frequent travel to other district campuses to support district initiatives.

  • Must be available to attend afterschool events professional development and disciplinary hearings as needed.
