DescriptionThe Sales Support Specialist I will support Rheems activities and initiatives to increase sales and profitability by engaging Menards management and store personnel as well as plumbers and contractors within the Sales Support Specialist assigned territory. Provide product and merchandising training throughout the channel develop and support regional and local activities to grow sales and ensure proper company procedures are being followed.
This position will serve ourWater HeaterDivision and is field based within an assigned territory. (Chicago Area)
Responsibilities- Participate and assist in events including:
- New Store Opening
- Contractor Lunchs
- New Store Preview Nights
- Demos
- Training Events
- Plumber Outreach
- Regional Training Events
- Collaborate with Rheems training and sales teams to drive initiatives such as product launches and new programs etc.
- Collaborate with team members on large plumber events and blitzes
- Assist in coordinating new store setup with the Menards merchandising group
- Instore merchandising assortment changes service tasks planogram updates and maintenance
- Coordinate schedules to support market and reports to Senior Sales Support Specialist for market updates
- Assist in planning and executing sales strategies to create pull through demand for assigned territory
- Apply sales approaches/mindsets for successful of recommendations
- Build relationships with customers and be seen as a product expert and a business consultant
- Maintain relationships with Store team and Sales Support Manager for customer handoffs
- Build Plumber Relationships and have active engagements
Qualifications- Associate degree (A.A. or equivalent from twoyear college or technical school; or 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two 2 years previous experience in customer support client services sales or a related field
- Basic computer skills and experience with tracking and recording call information filing documents or updating customer profiles/accounts; may include entering and tracking merchandise scheduling with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to present in front of large groups i.e.10 or more
- Ability to think strategically with an innovative mindset (think outside the box)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Indepth understanding of company services and its position in the market
- Excellent customer care and focus; ability to assess customers needs and provide correct answer path troubleshooting or method for a positive customer experience
- Ability to multitask prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Ability to travel up to 50
The pay scale of this role based in Illinois is $. Please note all pay ranges are broadly stated and any final offer is dependent on factors such as location direct experience market guidance and internal equity among other qualifying criteria.
