The Procurement Operations team supports requisitioning and buying goods and services across the studio including Technology Professional Services Corporate Services/Facilities Travel Marketing Production and Distribution. Procurement Managers are assigned a primary buying channel but will work crossfunctionally in an agile model as trusted advisors supporting enterprisewide projects that drive value cost savings process improvement and supplier excellence.
The Manager Procurement Operations is responsible for overseeing key procurement processes including catalog management purchase order processing and operational support for sourcing teams. This role ensures smooth procurement workflows compliance with company policies and effective collaboration with internal stakeholders including the Global Finance Organization (GFO) and Sourcing teams. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in procurement operations process improvement and supplier engagement to drive efficiency and effectiveness within the procurement function.
Core Responsibilities
- Procurement Operations Management: Owner of the SaaSbased procurement solution Ariba Studio Marketplace ensuring continuous improvements adoption and a delightful user experience to the procurement function. Manage procurement metrics within the platform to ensure optimal performance and alignment with strategic objectives
- Catalog Management: Maintain and optimize the procurement catalog working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy relevance and ease of use.
- Project Management: Oversee the implementation of various projects and programs designed to boost user adoption of procurement tools and processes ensuring that all initiatives align with organizational goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Sourcing teams and the Global Finance Organization (GFO) to align procurement operations with broader business and financial objectives. Develop and present the business case and cost/benefit analysis to stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify opportunities to improve process efficiencies by leveraging procurements innovative solutions. Represent procurements priorities during backlog refinement and sprint planning sessions collaborating with IT to ensure enhancements are delivered effectively within Agile Sprints.
- Supplier Engagement: Work with suppliers to ensure adherence to procurement policies resolve transactional issues and maintain strong relationships to support operational excellence.
- Data & Reporting: Utilize procurement systems and tools to track key performance metrics (KPIs) generate reports and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Training & Support: Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on procurement processes tools and policies to enhance understanding and adoption.
- Trusted Advisor: Develop and implement strategies to elevate awareness of Ariba Studio Marketplace capabilities among corporate and production stakeholders fostering a culture of transparency compliance and best practice. Manage relationships with internal SPE stakeholders and coordinate sourcing strategies opportunities and requirements with other Sony entities. Proactively meet with internal stakeholders and develop trusted relationships.
- Supplier Management: Manage external supplier relationships and monitor agreement expirations for renewal. Develop and manage supply base in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Evaluate and measure supplier performance. Serve as a resource to resolve issues and problems. Lead cyclical and adhoc supplier business reviews.
- Agile: Continuously look for ways to improve the sourcing process and leverage new ways to drive faster cycletime reduce touchpoints and increase the speed at which SPE does business. Collaborate with business partners suppliers and stakeholders to drive an agile process.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must have a minimum of 35 years of corporate procurement/purchasing/sourcing or similar experience preferably in Media and Entertainment or Technologybased industries
- Track record of delivering significant and measurable value in a large complex and fastmoving organization.
- Showcase a solid history of effectively managing change crafting strategies to mitigate resistance and securing stakeholder support. This requires clear communication of the advantages of updated procurement policies processes and technologies.
- A selfstarter skilled in devising and executing strategies performing detailed analyses and identifying opportunities for procurement process efficiencies
- Exceptional at building relationships and communicating effectively serving as a reliable advisor to enhance collaboration with stakeholders suppliers and partners and championing SPEs commitment to inclusion ethics and integrity.
- Experience with Ariba and SAP preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word Excel PowerPoint Visio and Agile Tools (Jira Trello)

Education:
- Undergraduate Degree in Supply Chain Engineering Computer Science Finance or Business required
- CPM/CPSM or other similar certifications preferred.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $107200 $134000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors including without limitation the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position years of relevant experience level of education attained certifications or other professional licenses held and if applicable the location of the position.
