This position requires a visionary educator dedicated to fostering a positive inclusive and highachieving environment for students staff and Overview:Dayton School District is a rural district located in western Oregons scenic MidWillamette Valley between McMinnville and Newberg. Our staff works closely with parents and community members to provide a learning environment that supports academic achievement and encourages students to become wellrounded citizens. The district serves approximately 1000 students across a Grade School a Junior High (grades 68 and a High School (grades 912. Our schools attract those who value a strong educational system with a rural sense of connection and Description:*Foster a positive safe and supportive learning environment that reflects and celebrates the diversity of the student body and community*Champion educational equity and student success for all learners*Lead the development and enhancement of academic programs including career and technical education (CTE) collegereadiness and extracurricular offerings*Guide and manage continuous school improvement efforts aligned with district goals*Demonstrate strong instructional leadership and coach teachers toward effective classroom practice*Set and uphold high expectations for student behavior academic achievement and staff performance*Model ethical leadership and transparent timely communication*Manage school operations staffing and finances in accordance with district policies and collective bargaining agreements*Collaborate with families students staff and community partners to support student growth and school success*Ensure school safety and emergency procedures are effectively implemented and reviewed*Cultivate partnerships with external organizations and foster school spirit and pride within the communityMinimum Qualifications:*Current Oregon Administrative License or eligibility*Masters Degree in Education*At least five 5 years of successful teaching experience preferably at the high school level*Successful K12 administrative experience ideally at the secondary level*Demonstrated success working with diverse student populations and communities*Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred Qualifications:*Experience in strengthening athletics activities and CTE programs*Background in restorative practices equity work and traumainformed care*Bilingual (Spanish) preferredApplication Procedure:Online Application Required: Materials:*Professional resume with contact information education and professional background*Letter of interest*Five professional references*Three letters of recommendation*Copy of Oregon Administrative and Teaching Licenses (front and back)*Undergraduate and graduate transcripts*Online trainings required.
