FAI is looking for our next dependable skilled Maintenance Generalist Journey whos ready to take on a wide range of building and system repairs to keep our facilities running safely and efficiently. If youre proactive versatile and take pride in quality work!


What you will be doing:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance repair and installation of a wide range of building systems and components. Responsibilities include diagnosing and fixing mechanical electrical and plumbing issues; remodeling and fabrication work; maintaining HVAC and hydraulic systems; and operating equipment for seasonal and grounds maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise the ability to work independently or as part of a team and excellent communication skills to interact with tenants foremen and managers. Duties also include working with fire safety systems signage door and window repairs locksmithing and snow removal.

Who we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will possess the following position specific competencies:

Carpentry/Woodworking: Knowledge of materials methods and the appropriate tools to construct install finish or repair wooden objects or structures.
Decision Making: Makes sound wellinformed and objective decisions; perceives the impact and implications of decisions; commits to action even in uncertain situations to accomplish organizational goals; causes change.
Mechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs uses benefits repair and maintenance.
Painting: Knowledge of materials methods and appropriate tools to apply paint and other protective coating materials on drywall wood metal glass and other surfaces.
Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives and to make recommendations.

Special Note:
A valid drivers license is required for this position.

Minimum Qualifications

Vacancies in this job class are filled through Union referral except for promotions demotions transfers and emergency appointments.

AIRPORT SECURITY BADGE
Candidates for this position must be eligible for an airport identification badge in accordance with
