You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe HR Generalist serves as a contact and resource for Human Resources and plays an integral role in the organizations growth by understanding the needs of hiring managers. The HR Generalist is a HR Professional who possesses knowledge of employment and labor law and has a deep understanding of the organization. This position has a high level of access to personal and professional data regarding the individual employees and their families and must comply with all federal and state regulations including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to keep the data secure and private.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Administers the leave of absence and accommodation program; including Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and personal leave.
Acts as a confidant for any employee requesting a medical or personal leave of absence or accommodation for themselves or to care for a family member offering guidance and support while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
Confirms eligibility and responsible for ensuring all federal and company-wide paperwork is completed by the employee and their medical provider; including engaging in the interactive process as appropriate.
Makes educated determinations of approval or denial based on company policy and federal/state laws and provides the designation notice to the employee and their manager of the leave details and/or accommodation.
Tracks the hours used and partners with department managers and HR Business Partners to discuss and resolve issues of excessive absenteeism patterns or undue hardship.
Oversees the onboarding process for new employees ensuring the completion of the necessary pre-employment background check drug test and paperwork prior to starting with the company.
Assists the recruiter with phone screening candidates scheduling interviews and other tasks as requested.
Works alongside the Recruiters to oversee the planning preparing and conducting of the bi-weekly new hire orientation; including monitoring the completion of compliance training.
Completes the I-9 form and E-Verify for all new employees.
Maintains record and overall integrity of employee personnel files ensuring privacy and confidentiality standards are met.
Creates organizes and updates employee personnel and health files; including all hiring payroll performance certification/licensure termination vaccination benefits and medical documentation.
Administers the health benefits programs. Acts as the liaison between the companys benefits broker insurance carriers and the employees.
Manages new hire enrollment annual open enrollment any off-cycle changes in coverage due to qualifying life events as well as answers all miscellaneous benefits inquiries from the employees.
Oversees the Workers Compensation program. Works with any employee who is injured at work and their supervisor to ensure the required state-of-Nevada and company-wide paperwork is completed and submitted to the companys insurance carrier to file a claim.
Responsible for completing the annual OSHA 300 and OSHA 300-A forms submitting the required BLS Surveys and updating the necessary posters and forms at each location.
Tracks and maintains all employee licensures and certifications that are required based on their job description sending frequent reminders to employees and management to ensure that they are renewed and remain active accordingly.
Works alongside the HR Business Partners to track and manage all employee performance and annual evaluations; sends reminders and updates to managers in order to stay in compliance.
Manages the Human Resources email inbox and main phone line answering all inquiries or directing to the appropriate team member.
Oversees the company uniform program providing vouchers to clinical staff to purchase scrubs with our external partner and placing polo orders for non-clinical staff.
Maintains various HR spreadsheets metrics and databases ensuring information is up to date accurate and monitored regularly.
Tracks and processes any current or former employment verification requests.
Processes required documents through Payroll to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
Performs specialized and/or confidential administrative duties; researching data and preparing reports as needed.
Meets established KPI (key performance indicators) and goals assigned by the Director.
Enthusiastically supports actively promotes and demonstrates superior customer service and focus.
Completes any duties and special assignments as requested.
EXPERIENCE EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Human Resources Recruitment and/or related field required; preferably in healthcare
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Business Administration and/or related field preferred
High School Diploma or GED equivalency required
HR Certification (PHR or SHRM) preferred
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
HRIS experience and knowledge; ADP Workforce Now preferred.

Adept organizational skills with ability to prioritize and own multiple tasks while meeting and/or exceeding deadlines.
