Job Description Summary:

A Program Assistant position is immediately available at the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) in Kansas City KS in the Division for Physical Activity and Weight Management. Individuals passionate about health promotion research focused on significantly improving the lives of people born with Down syndrome are encouraged to apply.

This is a parttime hourly position with flexible hours of 110 hours per week aiming for an average of 5 hours per week.

Job Description:

Job Duties Outlined

  • Assist in developing exercise intervention materials by participating in recorded exercise demonstrations.

  • Review health promotion intervention materials.

  • Assemble and organize print materials related to health promotion and research interventions.

  • Accompany research staff during study consent visits providing support during data collection for various research studies.

  • Assist in the collection of research data including exercise performance imaging data and research.

Required Qualifications

Education:High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Work Experience:One year of experience working with or familiarity with Down syndrome.

Preferred Qualifications

Work Experience: Previous experience working or volunteering in a teamoriented environment.

Compensation Statement:

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to education experience and training qualifications relative to the requirements of the position and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
