Job Description
The students staff and administration of Apponequet Regional High School are excited to build upon our team of amazing educators as we seek a dynamic forward thinking student centered staff focused building leader. Our teachers plan and provide for appropriate learning experiences and supports for students of all abilities. POSITION OBJECTIVE:This position is accountable for assuming the responsibility for delivering high quality instructional experience through creativity resourcefulness and sound judgment consistent with the curriculum frameworks standards and the rules and regulations of the FreetownLakeville Regional School RESPONSIBILITIES: for planning for delivering high quality instruction and feedback and grading to for collaborating with special education teachers to differentiate curriculum and for remaining up to date regarding curriculum for effective planning and assessment of curriculum and for mentoring students understanding of the curriculum effectively and adjusting instruction materials or assessments when for effective management of the classroom for effective instruction which includes making learning goals clear to the students using appropriate instructional and questioning for using innovative approaches and instructional strategies including the effective use of technologies to increase student learning and confidence to for the promotion of high standards and expectations for student for the promotion of equity and appreciation of diversity to ensure equitable opportunities for student earning including for implementing specific strategies for students with special needs andor English language for providing equal educational and employment opportunities to all individual regardless of race color gender age religion gender identity national origin marital status sexual orientation disability or of other jobrelated duties as QUALIFICATIONS:1. BA Degree in English 2. SEI endorsement3. Required certification in Massachusetts DESE license in English 812 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:1. Teaching experience in the area of ELA instruction2. Candidates who are licensed in another state will be considered if they qualify for the temporary license from DESE (must possess the equivalent license from another state and must have documented proof of working under that license for at least three complete school years). Candidates will need to apply for and pay for the DESE license as a condition of TO: School PrincipalSALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: In accordance with the FreetownLakeville Regional School District Educators Association contract. Employment is contingent upon job performance program needs and funding.
