Join Our Team as a Customs Analyst at Johnson Electric!

Location:Mississauga Canada 100 onsite)

As our next Customs Analyst youll be at the forefront of performing daytoday operational customs activities such as tariff classification valuation confirmation Certificate of Origin preparation and other customsrelated tasks. Your expertise in international trade and customs compliance will be crucial in driving our success and pushing the boundaries of whats possible.

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Perform daytoday operational customs activities such as identifying and reconciling missing documentation for import shipments completing tariff classification for missing entry line items and confirming valuation as required for customs entries.

  • Assist in completing customs compliance activities such as B2 and B3 entry audits and adjustments.

  • Maintain Certificates of Origin for various Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) Canada participates in.

  • Ensure uptodate status for customs bonds through the CARM portal.

  • Support the Regional Logistics & Compliance Team in identifying and implementing cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities.

What Were Looking For:

  • Bachelors degree in Economics Engineering Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in international trade particularly at a Tier 1 automotive company.

  • Strong knowledge of customs operations tariff classification and customs compliance.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.

  • Experience with customs internal audits and Certificate of Origin rules.

  • Customs Broker License and CCS certification.
