To provide instruction and guidance to junior high and high school female studentathletes in athletics while promoting academic success sportsmanship teamwork and the overall development of student character. This role also includes teaching responsibilities ineither JH Math HS Math or HS ELAR content areas.
Instruct and supervise female studentathletes in assigned sports.
Develop and implement practice plans conditioning programs and game strategies.
Supervise athletic facilities and locker rooms to ensure student safety.
Promote good sportsmanship discipline and character both on and off the field.
Maintain eligibility records equipment inventories and uptodate rosters.
Collaborate with other coaches teachers and administration to support student academic success.
Transport athletes to and from games and events as needed.
Communicate effectively with parents staff and administration.
Adhere to district policies and UIL rules and regulations.
Serve as a positive role model for students and represent the district in a professional manner.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
Valid Texas teaching certificate or ability to obtain one.
Current CDL or willingness to obtain for driving a school bus (preferred).
Experience in coaching female athletes at the secondary level (preferred).
Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
Frequent standing walking and physical activity required.
Must be available for before/after school practices games and weekend events.
Travel required for competitions and events.
May be assigned additional teaching duties based on campus needs and certification.
