Manulife Bank & Trusts Mortgage Underwriting department is looking for a Bilingual Mortgage Underwriter to join the team! You must be based out of Quebec or Halifax. Opportunity for cross training within the mortgage residential team.
Position Responsibilities:
Review documents submitted by sales partners to identify and decision whether documents adhere to internal guidelines.
Ensure files are properly documented for reporting.
Excellent communication skills with our sales partners.
Ability to process a high work volume of files with attention to detail.
Manage the underwriting of residential mortgage applications. Exercise sound financial judgment in granting loans within delegated limits.
Manage your files with appropriate communication while working closely with the salesperson associated with the file.
Required Qualifications:
Two years experience in Mortgage underwriting is a requirement.
Strong customer service and decisioning skills.
Fully bilingual (French/English): The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.

A goal oriented individual motivated to achieve performance to work in a dynamic team environment and handle several tasks simultaneously.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Sound knowledge of banking systems.

Salary range is expected to be between
$51375.00 CAD $85625.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location please contact for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions geography and relevant jobrelated factors such as knowledge skills qualifications experience and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
