Job Description
Job Title: Laboratory Analyst
Job Type: Temporary Fixed Term 14 months
Location: Hebden Bridge
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm 37.5 hours per week)
Salary: 24868 pa
Industry: Health & Nutrition
The purpose of this role is to deliver an efficient high quality food allergen and authenticity analysis using ELISA and DNA based methodologies (PCR). The role holder is required to perform all assigned activities in accordance with ISO17025 requirements.
- Completing tests inline with procedures
- Accurately follow laboratory protocols and standard operating procedures for the preparation of samples for analysis performance of internal calibrations and routine analysis by ELISA and PCR
- Ensure tests are completed successfully and within the specified sample turnaround time.
- Perform housekeeping within the laboratory in accordance with ISO17025.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has experience in:
- Working with PCR ELISA and LCMS/MS
- Working within a UKAS accredited laboratory as a Lab technician
- MS Packages ideally LIMS
You will also have the following:
- Degree level in biology/biochemistry or related science based subject or equivalent
