Job Description

Job title: Programmer/Analyst for VFACT (766532)

Client:Virginia Tax Department

Location:Richmond VA

ABOUT THE ROLE

Virginia Tax seeks an individual to continuously enhance and build new features for the Virginia Field Audit Compliance Tool (VFACT). This is a custom build that will track audit activities and caseloads conducted by Tax Field Auditors using the VFACT system.

Resources is needed to implement new tax types such as Corp Income Tax and other miscellaneous taxes into VFACT. The resource will also work on the integration of VFACT with the replacement of IRMS for existing taxes such as Sales Withholding and etc. This contractor will work under the direction of the VFACT Application Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless data exchange and system interoperability.

Write and optimize SQL queries for Oracle Database to support backend processes.

Perform unit testing debugging and documentation of application code.

Participate in design and code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to development standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in Angular (preferably Angular 10).
Hands-on experience with SQL and Oracle Database development.
Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
Experience working in a collaborative agile development environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science or closely related field
