Job Title: Excavator Operator
Job Summary:
TheExcavator Operatoroperates or tends machinery equipped with scoops shovels or buckets to excavate and load loose materials. Operates construction equipment such as cranes power shovels sers paving machines motor graders trenchdigging machines conveyors bulldozers dredges pumps compressors and pneumatic tools.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate 329/330/336 excavators in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance.
- Ensure work area is safe and free of hazards.
- Communicate with other team members to ensure project goals are met.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating excavators
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Knowledge of excavation techniques and equipment
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid drivers license
- Stand walk and sit for extended periods of time.
- Operate heavy equipment for extended periods of time.
- Work in all weather conditions
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Perform repetitive motions.
