Job Description

The CNC Operator performs a combination of paced repetitive tasks using automated and/or manual machine to machine components. May also be responsible for performing tasks associated with material handling

Responsibilities:
  • Operates CNC machine.
  • Verifies quality of all completed products and monitors production.
  • Masterpack data entry (scrap reloads production).
  • Material Handler responsibilities: Staging product into CNC loader based on WIP schedule Wrap label and stage all completed product Remove and dispose of all cutout debris from machinery.
  • Shipping duties - pulling packaging loading scanning put-away of product.
  • Operates forklift power pallet jack or manual carts or pallet jacks to unload move or store materials.
  • Follows work instructions and pays attention to details.
  • Follows safety and PPE procedures and reports violations to supervisor leads and/or to safety.
  • Achieves/performs daily targets and output of production.
  • Meets quality standards for the line.
  • Follows work practices that are in the guidelines of OSHA standards.
  • Follows all Environmental Health and Safety rules and ISO requirements.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 5s requirements rules and regulations.
  • Must be able to work required overtime as needed.
  • Work with members of leadership and quality to solve issues.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Previous manufacturing experience operating a CNC machine preferred but not required.
  • Able to read and write in English required.
  • Basic math skills with ability to perform basic math calculations such as addition subtraction multiplication and division. Plus knowledge of fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Ability to compare actual measurements to specifications and determine if finished product is acceptable quality.
  • Able to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule format.
  • Ability to work in a team environment; good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change.
  • Good hand/eye coordination
