The CNC Operator performs a combination of paced repetitive tasks using automated and/or manual machine to machine components. May also be responsible for performing tasks associated with material handling
Responsibilities: - Operates CNC machine.
- Verifies quality of all completed products and monitors production.
- Masterpack data entry (scrap reloads production).
- Material Handler responsibilities: Staging product into CNC loader based on WIP schedule Wrap label and stage all completed product Remove and dispose of all cutout debris from machinery.
- Shipping duties - pulling packaging loading scanning put-away of product.
- Operates forklift power pallet jack or manual carts or pallet jacks to unload move or store materials.
- Follows work instructions and pays attention to details.
- Follows safety and PPE procedures and reports violations to supervisor leads and/or to safety.
- Achieves/performs daily targets and output of production.
- Meets quality standards for the line.
- Follows work practices that are in the guidelines of OSHA standards.
- Follows all Environmental Health and Safety rules and ISO requirements.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 5s requirements rules and regulations.
- Must be able to work required overtime as needed.
- Work with members of leadership and quality to solve issues.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Previous manufacturing experience operating a CNC machine preferred but not required.
- Able to read and write in English required.
- Basic math skills with ability to perform basic math calculations such as addition subtraction multiplication and division. Plus knowledge of fractions and decimals.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Ability to compare actual measurements to specifications and determine if finished product is acceptable quality.
- Able to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule format.
- Ability to work in a team environment; good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change.
- Good hand/eye coordination
