Job Description
Overview
Susquehanna is seeking a Linux Engineer to design and build infrastructure for trading platforms working closely with network engineers and software developers to create scalable systems. Youll optimize Linux infrastructure including trading systems research compute databases and support systems.
What Youll Do:
- Automate and Evolve:Contribute to our library of homegrown tools written primarily inPython and Bashutilizing tools such asJenkinsto automate baremetal and virtual server deployments monitoring and maintenanceallowing you to focus on performance related issues and projects.
- Optimize:Tuneoperating systemsfor performance andnetwork stacksfor bandwidth or latency. Dive deep onrootcause analysisof systems issues. Anything is fair game if theres impact.
- Innovate and Build:Design and develop complex infrastructure solutions that meet the demands of high performance and scalability using cuttingedge hardware includingservers network switches and storage systems.
- Collaborate:Work closely with Strategy Developers and Quantitative Researchers to understand business problems. Coordinate with network and storage teams to implementscalable solutions.
What were looking for
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems or a related discipline.
- 5 years of progressive experience building Linux based platforms.
- Familiarity with kernellevel and I/O subsystem tweaks and tools such as sysctl strace tcpdump and netstat.
- Recent hands on experience with automation in Python or other tools.
