The Town of Innisfil actively engages in a crossfunctional approach to service delivery with their partner organizations; InnPower InnServices and InnTerprises. These companies are wholly and exclusively owned by the Town of Innisfil and the Town is the sole shareholder of each of these entities. As a result of a governance review completed in 2024 the shareholder has approved an expansion of the board composition for each of the companies resulting in the recruitment of two 2 additional Directors for each Board.
InnPower maintains a service territory of 292 square kilometres and is one of the fastest growing electrical utilities in Ontario. This includes over 10000 poles close to 1000 kilometres of power lines and 10 distribution stations. InnServices delivers the highest quality water and wastewater services to Innisfil and other municipalities. is a nonregulated corporation originally established to manage the rental of the sentinel lights on rural laneways cell tower rentals and the LED streetlight conversion program. The Corporation is now pursuing entrepreneurial opportunities and investments to benefit the town.
The respective Directors will bring proven experience and a track record of meaningful contributions at the board level within complex organizations. Specific skills and areas of expertise being sought include one or more of the following:
Ideal candidates will be current or former executives and professionals possessing boardgovernance experience. Ideal candidates will have operational knowledge of utilities (electricity water gas) telecommunications or largescale infrastructure sectors. Prior experience in transmission operations will be considered a significant asset.
Candidates do not need to live or work in the Town of Innisfil to be considered for these Board positions.
