As aCatering Coordinator you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Organizing planning and prioritizing your duties by developing plans and goals
- Generating contracts and BEOs in support of Assistant Director of Catering and Event Managers
- Assisting with food & beverage revenue for events and meetings of 50 or less guests with 10 or less guest room nights by responding to customer inquiries promptly
- Handling negotiations with meeting planners and generating Banquet Event Orders based on agreed contractual terms. Preparing and processing all required paperwork to include BEOs for events/groups with room blocks of 10 or less and all other related correspondences with clients
- Supporting daily distribution of BEOs reader boards and change logs
- Maintaining excellent working relationships from initial lead calls through followup solicitation and maintaining contact with all support departments including banquets and functions room departments until event conclusion
- Conducting property tours to promote facilities and services
- Working with Administrative Assistants in maintaining file room and proper stocking of Catering Marketing Collateral
- Representing the catering department as needed
- Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone email written documents or in person.
- Handling phone calls emails and greeting clients for Catering and Events in a professional courteous manner.
- Other duties as necessary based on business needs
