PolyClean USA is a specialized service provider for the plastics industry offering mobile defect removal and blending solutions directly at client facilities. Our factories on wheels help major manufacturers including Syensqo improve material quality without added logistics. We are rapidly expanding and seeking skilled technicians to help build and maintain our fleet of mobile units.
We are hiring a Mechanical Installation Technician to join our Charlestonbased team. In this role youll be handson in the mechanical buildout electrical setup and functional calibration of our mobile sorting units (trucks) before they are deployed to client sites across the U.S.
This is a fieldadjacent workshopbased role ideal for mechanically inclined professionals with experience in industrial equipment installation pneumatics basic electrical systems and troubleshooting.
Assist in the mechanical and electrical buildout of mobile sorting and blending units
Install and calibrate pneumatic systems vacuum convey systems and optical sorters (EVO or Satake units)
Set up air compressors blowers receivers and electrical conduit systems
Interpret mechanical schematics and electrical diagrams
Work with fabrication mounting and layout of complex industrial systems inside truck trailers
Conduct startup testing and basic system validation
Document all install work for compliance and future maintenance
Maintain a clean organized and safetyfirst workshop environment
Collaborate with operations managers vendors (e.g. Satake Kaeser) and other technicians
Mechanically inclined and comfortable working inside custom trailers (truck units)
Strong background in assembly fabrication and light electrical work
Familiar with industrial equipment setup and alignment
Able to read blueprints electrical schematics and process flow diagrams
Comfortable using hand and power tools in a shop environment
Team player with a commitment to safety quality and precision
3 years of experience in mechanical electrical or industrial equipment installation
Familiarity with pneumatics conduit installation and basic control systems
Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physically active installation tasks
Valid drivers license
Clean background check (required for DOT compliance)
Welding machining or metal fabrication experience
Knowledge of mobile sorting material handling or optical sorting systems
Forklift experience or certification
Prior experience working on or inside mobile units/trailers
