Security Officer Full Time/ Rotating Shift

Work location: Texas Health Mansfield Hospital: 2300 Lone Star Rd Mansfield TX 76063
Work hours: Full Time 40 Hour) Rotating Shift

Heres What You Need
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required And
- Associates Degree in Business Administration Criminal Justice Law Enforcement Security or closely related field is preferred
Experience
- If Texas Private Security Level 2 2 years of experience preferred
- If Texas Private Security Level 3 1 years of experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- DL Drivers License (Class C and insurable) upon hire required And
- ACPI Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 30 days required And
- NCSO NonCommissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 (not required if have Level 3 120 days required And
- CSO Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 3 2 attempts permitted). Biannual recertification. 120 days required And
- TASER Certification Complete Course & Certification 2 attempts permitted). Annual recertification. 120 days required
What You Will Do
- Patrol buildings and clinics for unlocked secured areas for afterhour entry.
- Locks and opens doors according to schedules.
- Provides individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.
- Identifies and removes unauthorized individuals from property.
- Maintains compliance with Texas Health Police policies.
- Pursues and detains persons involved in criminal activity.
- Fills out incident/offense report forms and composes narratives.
- Utilizes critical thinking skills and provides the appropriate level of force for the situation
- Responds to and activates the appropriate emergency response code
- Interacts with and provides assistance to Police Fire EMS and other emergency staff as required
