Responsibilities
- Implements and supports project HSE plans regulatory requirements and other safe work practices.
- Identifies evaluates develops and delivers project specific HSE training.
- Implements district HSE communication strategies on projects.
- Recognizes evaluates and advises on hazard identification.
- Leads and conducts project HSE inspections and monitors the quality and effectiveness of inspections and trade safety plans.
- Develops and evaluates efficiency of the project emergency response plan sitespecific security requirements and the environmental plan.
- Monitors and audits trade contractor HSE performance.
- Participates in onsite investigative processes and evaluating corrective actions taken.
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders.
- Coaches trains and mentors HSE Coordinators and other employees.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
Holds safety designation.
5 years experience in a health and safety role in a related water/wastewater infrastructure industry. Previous experience in a supervisory role an asset.
100 hours of safety training within the last 5 years.
EM385 experience is preferred.
Valid OSHA 30.
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Solid understanding of applicable OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes.
Conflict resolution skills with the ability to problemsolve.
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Ability to develop influence and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
Strong working knowledge of construction processes and terminology.
Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.

The salary range for this position is between $93000 and $120000 per annum based on experience and qualifications.
