Job Description
Project Overview
Our client is undertaking a transformative initiative to implement a comprehensive digital referral solution that will modernize the way referrals are handled across healthcare providers. This solution is expected to improve the efficiency accuracy transparency and quality of referrals resulting in better outcomes for patients and providers.
The Senior Business Analyst (SBA3 will play a pivotal role in this highimpact initiative by leading stakeholder engagement gathering and analyzing requirements and developing actionable documentation that supports a successful endtoend implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and conduct stakeholder engagement activities including interviews workshops and surveys with clinical nonclinical and executive participants.
Analyze and document current and future business processes conduct gap analyses and develop recommendations.
Prepare comprehensive business and technical documentation such as business requirements functional specifications use cases and user stories.
Create supporting decisionmaking materials and assist with project governance.
Draft operational frameworks and standard operating procedures to support the transition from project implementation to steadystate operations.
Develop user training materials manuals and tools.
Create and support user acceptance testing documentation and participate in validation processes.
Attend inperson meetings and provide support for onsite implementations across New Brunswick.
Comply with applicable privacy and confidentiality policies and complete required training.
Mandatory Qualifications
Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Business Administration (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
They must have a minimum of 15 years recent experience as a Senior Business Analyst leading stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering including with clinical and executivelevel stakeholders.
At least 10 years experience in seniorlevel business analysis for large multistakeholder projects (spanning multiple business units and lasting more than one year) is required along with a minimum of 10 years of IM/IT experience.
Candidates must be available to travel throughout New Brunswick for projectrelated activities and must possess excellent English communication skills.
Each vendor may submit a maximum of two candidates and each must be submitted separately.
Desirable Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in a healthcare or eHealth setting in Canada including both projectbased and operational work.
Experience developing comprehensive business and technical documentation such as workflows gap analyses and STOPs is highly desirable as is experience supporting user acceptance testing.
Candidates should also have experience developing user manuals and training materials along with a solid background in transitioning projects to operations through operational framework design.
Familiarity with methodologies and tools such as Agile Waterfall Scrum Kanban JIRA Visio and BPMN is expected.
Understanding of healthcare privacy legislation and the ability to work in both English and French are considered assets.
Deliverables
Key deliverables for this role include stakeholder engagement materials (e.g. agendas presentations surveys) business and technical documentation decision support documents operational procedures user training content and user acceptance testing documentation.
Candidates must be willing to sign a nondisclosure agreement and complete privacy and security training before commencing work.
