Job Description

Certified Medical Assistant In Patient Services

Millennium Physician Group

Full Time 7 days on 7 days off) 10am8pm

Charlotte County. FL

Millennium Physicians is seeking to hire a fulltime Certified Medical Assistant to join the team. We are looking for a new team member who is positive energetic wellorganized has the ability to multitask and think outside of the box. We want someone who supports our top initiative of ensuring an excellent patient Medical Assistant of Hospital Support Staff will assist hospitalists with triaging ER Registrations. Provides education and ways to seek alternative care for low acuity patients. Ensures MPG patients are admitted to our care in hospitals.

Responsibilities
Help physicians with patient examinations.
Schedule appointments for patients with PCPs
Conduct regular visits to hospitals within the designated area to meet with patients referred for discharge planning.
To ensure workflow processes and collaboration of care is present. Measuring outcomes to ensure the success of the program.
Patient Assessment: Assess the specific needs of each patient by thoroughly reviewing medical records discussing with healthcare professionals and evaluating patients physical emotional and psychological conditions.
Maintain regular communication with patients their families healthcare providers and internal team members to ensure effective care coordination and address any concerns or changes in the patients condition.
Provide patients and their families with education on selfcare medication management wound care and any other necessary topics to promote a safe recovery at home.
Accurately document all interactions assessments care plans and interventions by adhering to company protocols and legal requirements.
Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines related to patient care privacy and safety.
Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock placing orders and verifying receipt.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Demonstrates excellent customer service to both patients and other providers.
Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and/or certification.
1 years in a medical office preferred.
Experience with CarePort Notification system required
Experience with EMR (electronic medical records) medical terminology
Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
Social perceptiveness and serviceoriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
Ability to work independently in a fastpaced crossfunctional environment.
