Essential Functions:
- Develops ageappropriate lesson plans and activities for young children.
- Monitors and supervises children to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
- Communicates effectively with parents regarding childrens progress and behavior.
- Implements positive discipline techniques to encourage good behavior.
- Observes and assesses childrens development and growth.
- Collaborates with other teachers and staff to create a nurturing learning environment.
Education Requirement:
- Associates Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education or related field with 30 quarter or 24 semester hours in Child Development or Early Childhood Education or equivalent credential preferred.
- Bachelors Degree preferred.
Licensure Requirement:

Certifications:
Active Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent education required.
Skills:
- Effective communication skills to interact with children families and other professionals.
- Ability to supervise and direct Assistant Teachers and students.
- Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks and change priorities.
- Ability to create a positive atmosphere in the classroom.
Experience:
Experience in an early childhood education program preferred.
