Packaging Machine Operator I
Position Summary
The Packaging Machine Operator I maintains optimal operation of packaging lines. The Packaging Machine Operator Iensures consistent production of excellent product packaging to provide the best quality possible for our patients.
Shift: WK PM (MondayThursday 6 PM6 AM)

The Role
Responsible for the safety quality operation of his/her equipment which includes adhering to the startup shutdown steady state operation and troubleshooting of the equipment.
Expected to perform basic equipment care which includes thorough cleaning inspecting and basic lubrication.
Assist with the safe efficient changeover of his/her equipment.
During machine setup checks or reprograms the machine for the run of the day accordmakes all minor adjustments checks scales and checks overall functions.
Ensures all necessary packaging materials and other collateral supplies are on hand and available as required by the production schedule.
During machine shutdown makes sure the machine is off and clean sets up for the next days run and reports any problems encountered during daily run.
Observe and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Food Safety Plan (HACCP) and Food Quality Plan (FQP).
Other duties as assigned.
The Candidate
HS Diploma or Equivalent Required.
1 months of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
Knowledge of basic computer programming and mechanical functioning.
Must frequently lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand walk and use hands to finger handle or feel.The employee is frequently required to stoop kneel crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit climb or balance.
