You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailUnder the general supervision of the Manager Accounting Operations the Financial Clerk performs a variety of complex and critical tasks related to financial accounting and financial support. The Financial Clerk is responsible for the daytoday function of Financial Accounting Budget/Forecast support General Accounting and Auditing. In addition they will support with administrative control systems planning preparation and coordination of financial and statistical data on expenditures and provide advice on various aspects of the finance control process.
Financial Accounting:
Monitors oversees and facilitates all ongoing processes paperflow and documentation that support Financial Accounting. Responsible for all processes involved in the monthly accounting cycle including:
Compile information and prepare monthly journal entries for review and approval
Prepare and process all revenue invoices maintain accounts receivable subledgers and post to appropriate accounts
Prepare payment runs for processing as required (cheque EFT etc.
Generate financial statements using Yardi accounting system
Submit monthend reports to the Manager Accounting Operations for review.
Review all balance sheet accounts which include accurate and concise account reconciliations on a timely basis.
Complete yearend processing including information gathering for external auditors and assisting with yearend Government unit reports and Accountability Reports.
Accounts Receivable Management:
Support accounts receivable reconciliations preparing invoices to tenants and other related accounts receivable tasks.
Payment Management:
Review invoices to ensure accurate billing and timely payments.
Review and follow up on open purchase orders to ensure completed work is recorded in a timely matter.
Review agreements to ensure all financial obligations are identified and in accordance with policies and procedures.
General Accounting:
Review GL coding invoice processing prepare payments (cheques EFT etc) and verify vendor statements.
Ensure integrity and validity of financial data is maintained.
Prepare travel and hospitality public disclosure reports.
