We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to inspire a highperforming team
of managers cashiers and support staff while driving operational excellence and
exceptional customer experiences at our location in Hutchinson KS. This position will
oversee the entire operation of fuel sales cstore and restaurant.
Your Impact
Drive operational efficiency and profitability across a multimilliondollar travel
center / truck stop running 24/7/365
Build and develop a dynamic store management team that delivers outstanding
customer experiences and operational results
Lead initiatives to optimize performance metrics increase revenue minimize
expenditures and enhance operational efficiency
Build and maintain strategic vendor relationships to enhance store offerings and
rewards program negotiating partnerships that drive customer loyalty
Champion a culture of exceptional service that ensures every traveler leaves
better than they arrived
Core Responsibilities
Drive daily operations through handson leadership including:
o Proactively troubleshooting operational challenges
o Creating and optimizing team schedules based on business needs
o Filling shifts when needed to ensure continuous operations
o Maintaining exceptional facility standards and cleanliness
o Observing and evaluating employee performance against key metrics
Manage financial and operational performance:
o Drive profitability through effective cost management
o Oversee inventory control and vendor relationships
o Process and manage invoices pricing and daily paperwork
o Partner with pricebook team to ensure accurate pricing
o Protect company assets and maintain compliance with policies
Lead team development and culture:
o Build and maintain a professional highperforming team
o Implement comprehensive training programs for all new hires
o Foster ongoing skill development and growth opportunities
o Maintain positive working relationships across all levels
o Document and address performance concerns appropriately
Oversee vendor and inventory management:
o Build strategic vendor partnerships to enhance rewards programs
o Manage delivery functions and invoice processing
o Maintain organized inventory systems including walkin coolers

o Ensure proper stock levels and rotation
o Stay informed of product movements and trends
Drive community and customer engagement:
o Establish positive community relationships
o Create and maintain a welcoming environment
o Ensure exceptional customer service standards
o Build local partnerships to support store success
o Address customer feedback and concerns promptly

Job Requirements
Proven track record of leadership success preferably 3 years managing cstore
or travel center operations
Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to analyze P&Ls and drive
profitable growth
Excellence in team development with a passion for mentoring future leaders
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with Microsoft Office suite and POS systems
Valid drivers license with clean driving record
High school diploma required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred

Job Summary
The Site General Manager is an inspirational leader who oversees a designated travel
center where they are responsible for coaching and leading the site in operating a
successful and profitable location. This individual will build and maintain a strong
dynamic leadership team by communicating a clear vision and give direction on training
and development profitability site maintenance safety etc. The Site General Manager
ensures we are returning every traveler to the road better than they came!
In this role you can expect to:
Supervise the management team and overall operations of the designated location
Constantly demonstrate a professional demeanor with a high level of character honesty
and integrity in conducting the business affairs of the sites; Inspire the Profit Center
Managers their management teams and all team members to do the same
Establish and be responsible for goals to meet company objectives related to people
profit safety quality of service and appearance of the locations
Coach teach and demonstrate sound customer service principles to all team members
including direct customer contact to resolve issues when needed
Partner with Profit Center Managers and Talent Acquisition to identify the best available
management level talent whether internal or external; Review and advise team staffing
levels; Develop management team and successors
Monitor key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement and clearly
communicate opportunities to the District Manager and management team.
Ensures that programs are properly implemented and maintained to ensure the safety
of customers and team members.
Assesses performance of PCMs completes appraisals of direct reports and
recommends for advancement and merit increases.
Ensures all customer complaints are addressed promptly and develops ways to reduce
or eliminate their reoccurrence. Actively solicits employee and customer input to
improve location operations.
Ensures awareness and compliance with all federal state and local regulations that
impact operations.
Ensures accurate and timely completion and submission of reports personnel records
time sheets price surveys and others as directed.
Supervises the total function of a travel center which operates multiple profit centers
and which may operate 24 hours per day 365 days per year.
Leads management team to adequately and effectively maintain and safeguard
Company property equipment funds and merchandise and ensure all loss prevention
and audit policies are properly executed.
Manages location operations while controlling operating expenses within established
budgets.
Leads management team and employees to understand and comply with all wage and

hour obligations. Ensures time records are complete and accurate and nonexempt
employees are compensated for all time worked.
Develops and implements programs that recognize and reward outstanding customer
service performed by team members. Sets an example of outstanding customer service.
Works with the District Manager and management team to develop succession plan for
departments and ensures employees are provided with development opportunities for
career growth.
Responsible for accurate forecasting of total site results and achieving budgeted site
EBITDA.
Must complete a minimum of lead certification requirements related to restaurant brands
they manage
Must ensure all required training is completed within the required time frame of 90 days.
This includes but is not limited to training required by federal/state/local law and
regulations training on company policy and procedures and training for job skill

Typical Physical Demands

Work Schedule:

The managers are required to work any hours that the store may need due to
staffing needs including weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot immediate problems as they may occur.
Effectively manages the store employees in a professional manner.
Building and posting team work schedules according to the business
perimeters needed.
Reviewing that all duties are being performed
Delegate daily task duties that will keep the store maintained and
functional and looking great.
Fills in on a shift when needed (above and beyond their own shifts)
Manage store inventory and delivery functions with various vendors
including checking in invoices on a daily basis.
Maintains a good clean friendly environment for employees and
customers
Manages with cost effectiveness
