About the team and the role: eBay Inc. seeks Applied Researcher 3 in New York NY
What you will accomplish: Use stateoftheart big data and machine learning tools to experiment with big data to produce actionable insights and elegant solutions for largescale problems. Mine and analyze massive amounts of unique internal and external data to gain deep business knowledge and insight into customer activity and usage behaviors. Discover patterns and create features necessary to build machine learning models that match eBays inventory with customers demands. Build quick prototypes and data visualization tables during preliminary data exploration procedures to decide on the feasibility and direction of proposed solutions. Develop the core textbased deep learning models used to generate recommendations for eBay users. Work with data scientists engineers and multifunctional teams to produce endtoend productionready solutions. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other team members for translation of business problems into machine learning algorithms. Partial telecommuting may be permitted from within a commutable distance.
What you will bring:
Minimum Requirements: Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Engineering or a closely related field plus three years of experience in the job offered as a researcher or a related occupation.

Salary: $per annum. 40 hours per week; MF 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including location skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
