Job Description
Job Summary:
The Light Duty Diesel Technician is responsible for performing maintenance repairs and diagnostics on Chrysler Dodge Jeep & Ram vehicles equipped with Cummins 6.7 and EcoDiesel 3.0 engines at Whites Auto Mall in Hopkinsville Kentucky. This is a fulltime position within the automotive industry. The individual in this role should have a high level of technical knowledge and expertise in diesel vehicles as well as gasoline engines.

Responsibilities:
Perform repairs maintenance and diagnostic services on gas and diesel vehicles.
Perform complex diagnostic tests using specialized equipment to determine vehicle issues and make necessary repairs
Diagnose and repair engine transmission and electrical systems in diesel vehicles
Inspect and test vehicles to ensure they meet safety and emission standards
Utilize computerized systems to document and track repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles
Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to provide excellent customer service and efficient repair processes
Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition
Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel technician preferably with Ram and Cummins vehicles
Strong diagnostic and problemsolving skills
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and computerized systems
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record
Must have own tools and a toolbox
Knowledge of and adherence to all safety protocols and regulations
