The Position
Mission
As a Product Manager you will be accountable for product(s) vision strategy roadmap and endtoend product lifecycle. You will promote a strong focus on Product Management including networked agile ways of working and role model business partnering closely collaborating with stakeholders Section Leads Product Managers Domain Leads and Product Line Leads to shape the digital strategy roadmaps and portfolios and cocreate solutions to maximize the value delivered by the agile teams within your product(s) area.
What youll be working on:
Youll be working within the Enterprise Cloud Product Line. Enterprise Cloud is responsible for cloudnative infrastructure with Kubernetes onpremises and numerous public cloud providers including but not limited to Azure GCP or AWS. It owns the Cloudfirst hosting strategy roadmaps and related portfolios for all Roche enterprise solutions worldwide. Enterprise Cloud product line collaborates with CoDE product line to share key practices around Customer Journey and Adoption OS hardening security quality compliance FinOps with the product line responsible for hosting of commercial products (Digital Health Foundation). All these product lines make up the DPE (Digital Product Enablement) domain.
The Multicloud Roche Platform aims at providing featureparity for compliance security and connectivity with our strategic public cloud vendor AWS. While Roche hosts most of its cloud workload on AWS cloud it is key to enable the other key public clouds Roche needs in a secured compliant and interoperable way.
Multicloud product ensures consistent experience for teams in need for cloud infrastructure. It enables fast access to innovation no matter which cloud vendor it is coming from and facilitates the onboarding of various cloud infrastructure during the many mergers and acquisitions Roche is frequently faced with. It rapidly adapts to niche cloud needs that might emerge based on innovation trends and business needs especially in R&D. This includes in particular:
Responsibilities:
Staying abreast of industry trends and emerging public clouds to proactively address potential opportunities
Communicating and influencing the product vision across to the team or teams as well as gaining endorsement for needed investments from senior stakeholders.
Defining and delivering the product roadmap and manage the endtoend product lifecycle ensuring it delivers tangible and meaningful value aligned with customer needs and expected business outcomes overarching Product Line strategy Enterprise Architecture and Sustainability principles to enable the Business to leverage the full Informatics offering
Collecting business needs/drivers and consumer feedback to improve the service.
Leading or chairing migration programs
Making service commitments to customers aligned to our domain operational capabilities and capacities.
Maintaining cloud and service vendor relationships to ensure external delivery meets the required service capabilities metrics and requirements.
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT AND PARTNERING
Deeply connecting and understanding the customer and business needs and closely partnering with stakeholders (and business process management where applicable) to develop the strategic direction of the product and shape the roadmap and portfolio to quickly deliver the highest value outcomes for Patients Society and Roche
Driving cocreation of product vision and strategy including contribution to the development and implementation of cross Products and Product Line strategies through deep partnership and collaboration with products stakeholders
LEADERSHIP AND INFLUENCE
Dealing with complexity of a wide diverse set of technologies and potentially less standardized business units of the organization.
Leading managing and mobilizing agile product teams in a matrix environment; creating an environment of teamwork and partnering within the area and across business organizations and Informatics
Working closely with Product Line Leads and Chapters to ensure the workforce strategy supports the future product needs and that the product fosters agile working
Ensuring security quality and privacy practices are embedded into product lifecycle in alignment with the global Information Security Management System
IMPACT AND COMPLEXITY
Supporting Product Line Lead in portfolio prioritization; leading strategic planning for the multicloud strategy and collaborate with other Product Managers and the Product Line Lead for the definition of endtoend service levels monitoring of KPIs and OKRs and vendor management
Accountable for security service and total cost of your product including budgeting and financial management
What youll need to be successful
5 years of leadership experience and related productcentric knowledge
Bachelor or advanced degree
Experience in agile product management practice including budget operations compliance and risk management mitigation strategies in regulated industry vendor management
Has an enterprise mindset that can break down silos. Focus on continuous delivery through collaboration and bringing people together to work towards the same purpose across organizational boundaries and countries
Exhibits ability to empower teams and individuals to act autonomously and hold them accountable
Exhibits intellectual curiosity and integrity and has a strong passion for innovation beyond computer science
Familiarity with FinOps DevOps and SecOps tooling and software engineering practice
Strong technical and process skills and experience with system requirements analysis and data driven decision making
Location Primary Location: Madrid Osiris
