The Role

The Head of Development will play a pivotal role in expanding FT FLICs research policy and advocacy initiatives particularly within the areas of financial literacy inclusion exploitation and economic inequality. You will lead fundraising efforts to support new research and policy campaigns secure strategic partnerships and develop impactful advocacy initiatives that drive policy change. Youll have experience in developing and executing fundraising strategies as well as a strong understanding of economic inequality and the intersection between media literacy digital literacy and financial education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead fundraising strategies to support FT FLICs research and advocacy on financial literacy inclusion and economic inequality.
  • Write compelling grant proposals and manage donor relationships reporting and stewardship.
  • Organise fundraising events and identify new revenue streams including sponsorships and individual giving.
  • Build and manage partnerships with governments NGOs corporates and academia to support the Centres mission.
  • Support and align advocacy campaigns with fundraising efforts ensuring impact and policy relevance.
  • Oversee campaign effectiveness and reporting while managing fundraising budgets and revenue targets.

Your Skills

  • A degree or equivalent in a relevant field (such as Economics International Development Public Policy Business Administration or similar)
  • Demonstrable experience in fundraising business development and partnershipsideally in social impact or financial inclusion.
  • Proven success securing diverse funding (grants foundations corporates).
  • Excellent communicator able to influence and engage varied audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with a collaborative mindset and leadership experience.
  • Comfortable working across teams and managing highlevel stakeholders.

Salary range

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is 55000 to 60000. To ensure pay fairness the successful candidate will be offered a salary within the estimated salary range based on a number of considerations including but not limited to: skill set; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organisational needs.
