Our smart team of doers collaborates with customers across Amazon worldwide to conceive develop prototype and deploy innovative robotic systems.

Amazon Robotics is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager Technical (PMT) to lead and support product management activities for our storage and sortation mobile robotic fleet systems. In this role you will define and drive the strategic vision for advancing our mobile robotics fleets capabilities across various existing solutions and new applications. This highly crossfunctional position requires deep collaboration with our software development applied science and fleet foundation model teams. You will evaluate business needs identify and prioritize fleet optimization opportunities create comprehensive product and technology roadmaps and develop detailed product requirements to optimize system throughput and space utilization. Collaborating closely with business teams youll translate operational needs into clear system goals and technical requirements for mobile robotic drive unit allocation movement and planning systems and align roadmaps across solution design software/science and hardware/firmware initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a deep systems thinker with strong analytical capabilities who thrives in matrix organizations. You should have either handson software development or applied science experience strong systems engineering background or significant product management experience in complex technical environments. You should be adept at synthesizing diverse business needs technologies and capabilities into product solutions that deliver transformative results. Were looking for someone who can understand massively parallelized nonlinear systems and communicate complex concepts in a simple way to diverse business and technical stakeholders. This individual contributor role reports into Amazon Robotics Product Management Excellence organization.

Key job responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:

* Drive the development of the vision strategy business plan and roadmap for Amazons mobile robotic fleet
* Be a passionate advocate for the customer; understand and articulate business and customer needs leverage internal knowledge and expertise and prioritize requirements
* Author internal whitepapers and present to executive leadership to drive alignment on category strategy multiyear roadmaps product plans and resource allocations

Technical :

* Evaluate and influence system architectural design and interface tradeoff decisions across organizational boundaries to improve endtoend system objectives
* Collaborate with software developers applied scientists and engineers to understand technical feasibility and prioritization development and implementation of new concepts and features
* Define use cases write requirements documents and own the business metrics and KPIs for your products

About the team
The Product Management Excellence (PME) teams mission is to collaborate with Leadership and broadly across AR to establish our longterm vision and influence ARs product and technology strategy to develop a portfolio that maximizes ARs impact to Amazon. We aim to own the full product lifecycle by balancing three ongoing priorities: 1 continuously improving the worlds largest robotics product base 2 delivering new solutions that maximize our customers business performance and 3 inventing transformative products to solve our customers future needs.

7 years of technical product management experience in software environments or equivalent technical background in software development systems engineering or applied science
Bachelors degree
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition for a product category
Experience making sound decisions on producttechnology feature capability and performance tradeoffs
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions architecture and strategy related to a product
Proven track record managing complex stakeholder relationships
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and architectures
Exceptional systems thinking capabilities

MBA and/or postgraduate engineering/science degree
Experience analyzing applications for robotics and automation systems and specifying SW algorithm and AI requirements along with HW interfaces
Passion for driving customer experiences and diving deep into highly technical topics with engineers and scientists
Exceptional written verbal and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to influence others and manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
