Overview
The SECURITY ENGINEERING MANAGER is responsible for managing and mentoring all members of the Security Engineering team including CM staff and contracted resources. The SECURITY ENGINEERING MANAGER will provide clear work objectives and expectations for each member of the team.
The SECURITY ENGINEERING MANAGER will help to develop processes and procedures for the Security Engineering team to ensure best practices are followed and a standard of accuracy and timeliness is met for deliverables provided by the team. Input on the expected configuration management and monitoring of CMs security tools will be provided to the team. Facilitating successful project management by allocating resources establishing timelines and tracking completion of tasks will be performed by this role.
The SECURITY ENGINEERING MANAGER will be expected to take a hands on approach working with the same security toolsets as the other members of the team. This individual will act as the primary resource for CMs enterprise firewalls. This includes the successful installation configuration management and monitoring of the firewalls and firewall management tools. Other security tools will be primarily managed by the other members of the team.
The SECURITY ENGINEERING MANAGER will act as a liaison between Information Systems Security and other crossfunctional teams. This individual will be expected build positive working relationships with other teams and vendors.

Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor CM staff and contracted resources involved in all levels of Security .
- Act as the primary resource to install configure manage and monitor CMs enterprise firewalls.
- Develop processes and procedures which provide standardization of work performed by the Security Engineering team.
- Coordinate resource allocation timelines and tracking of deliverables assigned to the Security Engineering team for CM and Information Systems Security projects.
- Provide guidance to CM staff and contracted resources on the installation configuration management and monitoring of security tools owned by the Security Engineering team.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree 57 years experience OR
- High School diploma or equivalent plus 57 years experience
- Plus the following preferred:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Preferred
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) Preferred
- Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security) Preferred
- Palo Alto Certified Network Engineer (PCNSE) Preferred
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Preferred
- Security Preferred
- Network Preferred

Starting Pay
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $50.52/hr but your salaried offer will be determined based upon your education and experience.
Remote Work/Work from Home
This position is entirely remote or workfromhome. The person hired must live in the Kansas City metro area and may attend onsite meetings as scheduled.
