Job Description

Lecturer in Systems Engineering Education Focused UNSW Canberra

Employment type: Fixedterm parttime 0.4 FTE 14 hours per week)
Duration: 6 months
Remuneration: Level B from $123620 FTE plus 17 super

Location: UNSW Canberra ADFA Campus

About the School of Systems & Computing
The School of Systems & Computing is a vibrant place with key focus areas in computer science cyber security systems engineering and artificial intelligence. The schools academic staff pride themselves in providing excellent education to undergraduate and postgraduate student cohorts in a variety of delivery modes while also conducting cuttingedge research in interdisciplinary teams with a focus on societal impact. Why Your Role Matters
UNSWs Education Focused roles (EF) enable academics to specialise in education and devote their time to delivering highquality teaching and pursuing initiatives to enhance the educational experience of our students. With your demonstrated background in Systems Engineering you will be expected to successfully drive educational excellence within the universitys teaching and learning communities. The role of Lecturer reports to Head of School and has no direct reports.

Accountabilities

In this role you will inspire student learning conduct classes assess and support students in postgraduate and undergraduate courses in line with UNSW policy.

Who You Are (skills and experience):

A PhD in Systems Engineering or related discipline or relevant work experience (minimum 5yr)

Demonstrated experience in systems engineering and test and evaluation

Demonstrated experience in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level development of teaching materials meaningful assessment design and online delivery methods

Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. relevant disciplinebased curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales)

Eligibility:
The successful candidate will be required to undertake preemployment checks prior to commencement in this role. The checks that will be undertaken are listed in the Position Description.
