Description

POSITION SUMMARY

PRO*ACT is looking for a collaborative and dynamic individual to join our IT team!


This position is 100 onsite in our office in Monterey CA.


Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Provide firsttier user support for office operations and IT needs across Pro*Act PFS PFL IFS and Harvest Sensations.
  • Respond to user requests via the Help Desk Ticketing system phone and email.
  • Support geographically dispersed users using remote desktop tools and support software.
  • Provide oncall support for afterhours emergencies when authorized.
  • Install configure test maintain monitor and troubleshoot user workstations hardware and software to meet service levels.
  • Perform onsite analysis diagnosis and resolution of desktop and laptop issues; recommend and implement solutions including offsite repairs for remote users.
  • Work with system and network administrators to ensure the functionality and efficiency of desktops laptops and printers.
  • Assess and maintain company technology including phones displays and smart devices ensuring operational readiness and longterm usability.
  • Ensure proper desktop hardware connections such as Ethernet and USB ports and resolve networking software issues as required.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment including computers monitors keyboards mice and accessories with sufficient stock for timely replacements.
  • Accurately document desktop equipment failures repairs installations and removals.
  • Assist in preparing maintaining and enforcing procedures for logging reporting and monitoring desktop operations.
  • Collaborate with thirdparty support or PC equipment vendors when necessary.
  • Perform tasks such as preparing rooms for meetings or presentations handling mail and packages moving boxes hanging pictures coordinating office moves and contacting service providers.
  • Assist with the physical installation of furniture or equipment as directed by department heads.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED

Education & Certifications

  • Required: Associates or Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related fieldor equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: Industry certifications (e.g. CompTIA Microsoft).

Technical Experience

Required:

  • 2 years of experience supporting desktops enduser systems enterprise applications and systems at Level 2 or above.
  • Handson expertise with antivirus malware ransomware email security and other cybersecurity tools.
  • Troubleshooting clientserver webbased/cloud applications and resolving enduser computing issues with quick turnaround.
  • Knowledge of diagnosing and differentiating between server network and workstation issues.
  • Strong experience in troubleshooting network printing hardware and cabling issues.

Preferred:

  • Handson experience with Active Directory Intel and Apple hardware Microsoft OS network connectivity and Android/iOS platforms.
  • Supporting technologies like Windows OS Exchange Server OWA DNS DHCP Office 365 OneDrive Teams and Smartsheets.
  • Experience with Service Desk tools (e.g. ServiceDesk Plus Desktop Central from ManageEngine).
  • Virtualization cloud environments and related troubleshooting.
  • VoIP PBX/phone system troubleshooting.
  • Vendor management IT procurement and negotiation skills.

Additional Skills

Required:

  • Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to identify complex issues and implement effective solutions.

Preferred:

  • Experience building and supporting Power BI and/or Tableau reports.
  • User education and training experience using tools like KnowBe4.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems.
