Overview
The position of MBBS RMO in the Gynaecology Department is vital for delivering comprehensive healthcare services to women throughout their reproductive years. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient care assisting with medical examinations and providing empathetic support to patients undergoing various gynaecological procedures. This position is instrumental in ensuring that patients receive timely diagnoses treatment plans and followup care which contributes to overall health outcomes in women. As a critical member of the medical team the RMO will collaborate closely with gynaecologists nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of clinical practice. The RMO will also engage in continuous learning and upskilling to stay updated with the latest advancements in reproductive health. This role not only enhances the knowledge and skills of the practitioner but also significantly benefits community health by promoting awareness and prevention of gynaecological conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial patient assessments and gather medical histories.
- Assist in gynaecological surgeries and other medical procedures.
- Monitor patient vitals and report significant changes to senior staff.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care.
- Educate patients on reproductive health and preventative care.
- Collaborate with gynaecologists to develop treatment plans.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret lab results.
- Manage emergency situations effectively and efficiently.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
- Offer emotional support to patients and families.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote womens health.
- Supervise and train junior medical staff and interns.
- Engage in research activities related to gynaecology.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS degree from a recognized medical college.
- Relevant medical license to practice in the respective jurisdiction.
- Experience in a clinical setting preferably in gynaecology.
- Strong understanding of women s reproductive health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Proficient in operating medical equipment used in gynaecology.
- Knowledge of emergency medical procedures.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Commitment to continuous medical education.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and empathetic towards patients.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities when needed.
- Flexibility to work in shifts including night duty.
